This term, we have reminded ourselves of our school mission statement and 3,5,7 ethos and thought about how we can use these to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

We will be looking at different Bible stories and considering what we can learn about God from the. At the beginning of term, we attended our first Mass and we are looking forward to attending more (and possibly taking part in our holy communion) throughout the rest of the year.

Learning about the Holy Trinity - The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit

In the Autumn term, we celebrated advent and the build up to Christmas. As we are in Year C, we read Luke's gospel and looked at the Christmas story from his writings. We discussed how we prepare and wait for the birth of Jesus and the signs and symbols that remind us of advent.

In Spring, we looked at Hinduism and learnt about some of their many Gods. We listened to, recreated and then drew our own stories of the birth of Krishna and learnt about Brahman, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

We answered a big question: Who is Jesus? We thought about the different names we know him as and what he represents to us!

Throughout Lent, we have been exploring the Last Supper and crucifixion as told through Luke's Gospel. Here is some of the artwork we created to show what happened on Good Friday.
