Street Dance with Andy from Urban Strides!

Today, we were able to participate in a workshop led by Andy from urban Strides, a street dance troop known for their motivational and dynamic approach to dance. The children loved it and had so much fun!

Spring Class Assembly-Invaders 

Thank-you to everyone who came to watch our assembly all about our learning in History this term-The Anglo-Saxons!

   

LKS2 Nativity

Here we are wearing our different clothes/costumes for our Nativity-'Lights, Camel, Action!'. We performed alongside the other year 4 class and the year 3 classes, having various narrator, sheep, shepherds, angels, innkeepers, townsfolk, Kings and camel roles!

 

Christmas Jumper Day!

Garden Classroom-Sustainability Project 

 

After an exciting assembly this morning led by Siri and Hepzi from the Gillespie Park Garden Classroom, we were lucky enough to be joined by Siri for a follow up workshop on how to be more sustainable!

  

 

Arsenal Anti-Bullying Week session

As part of anti-bullying week the Arsenal in schools team came to deliver a workshop to the class on anti-bullying. Henry delivered our class session and the children completed an odd socks activity to recognize how we are all different and unique and that everyone should be treated equally. 

 

  

 

  

Remembrance Assembly

Today, we listened to an assembly led by David, the Islington Poppy Appeal organizer for the Royal British Legion. He came to discuss his work with KS2 and then came to us for a class visit afterwards where we could ask him more questions. 

African Drumming 

Today, as part of our cultural appreciation sessions we participated in an African drumming workshop!

  

Black History Month Singing Celebration 

As part of BHM children in different year groups have been learning songs by different black artist and learning about the routes of the genre. Here we are performing our song 'Blinded by your Grace' by Stormzy. 

School Council Voting 

After learning about democracy, we held our votes for our new school council member and added their votes to the  ballot box in the hall!

Our Class Assembly-Beginning with God

Well done on your assembly today, you tried your best, remembered your lines and helped your key stage to learn a little bit more about Moses and the Burning Bush-Well done!

Celebrating the life of Queen Elizabeth II

 

 

To mark the death of Queen Elizabeth, our class worship sessions this week have focused around her life and how she helped our country. We wrote prayer to her to say thank you and lit our candle. 

 

 

This week, we also put together a book of condolences as a class and took part in making a whole school collage to help celebrate her life.
