Year 6

Autumn 1 Athletics

Year 6 learnt how to sustain pace over short and longer distances and run as part of a relay team. They were able to perform a range of jumps and throws and apply strength and flexibility whilst doing so. They learnt how to confidently judge across a variety of activities and work in collaboration to demonstrate improvement.


Autumn 2 Cricket

Year 6 linked a range of skills and used them in combination. They collaborated with a team to choose, use and adapt rules in a game context and recognised how some aspects of fitness apply to cricket e.g. power and cardiovascular endurance. They could apply some cricket rules and attempted a small range of shots. Year 6 are beginning to use a range of tactics for attacking and defending in the role of bowler, batter and fielder.
