Playground Friends

Playground Friends are a group of caring and responsible pupils who help to make playtimes safe, happy and inclusive for everyone. They support other children by encouraging kindness, helping those who may feel lonely to join in games, and resolving small disagreements in a calm and fair way. Trained to be good listeners and positive role models, Playground Friends help promote respectful behaviour and ensure that everyone feels valued during break times. Their responsibilities include organising simple games, looking out for children who may need extra support, and seeking help from an adult if a situation requires it. Through their work, Playground Friends play an important role in building a friendly and supportive school community. Our Playground Friends are KS2 children from each class, chosen by teachers. They are introduced to children through assemblies so everyone is aware of who they are.
