Handball
Since returning to school, year 4 have been learning how to play handball. We initially focused on the skills of catching and throwing. We then carried these skills into a 5v5 game. During games we incorporated further skill development such as keeping the ball close to our bodies, catching with 2 hands but carrying the ball with 1 hand. When travelling we then used our other hand to protect the ball from defending players.
Dance
Dance is a super fun and easy way to get moving and to keep active. We had lots of fun on Seesaw practicing and learning various skills in dance. Each week we got moving to a different dance sequence and performed it to music. It was lots of fun and many children shared their amazing efforts! Take a look here. Well done Saint Catherine! :)
