I hope you have had a lovely half term and you have been keeping busy!
Please follow the link below for this week's video:
I look forward to seeing you all soon!
Miss Roe :)
Thank you Angelo for sending it your second song: 'Do not be afraid'. It is a really lovely version of the song, well done! I imagine that it was tricky to keep the lyrics in time with the music, but you have done a great job with this! You remembered all of the lyrics and I am sure many of the children will enjoy listening to your song as much as I did, thank you! Miss Roe.
I hope you are all well and you have had a nice weekend!
Here is the link to the video for this week, I have read a little bit of Matilda to you - as I know you used to like this in class!
Looking forward to seeing some of your work, pictures and videos this week,
Hi Sage, What an amazing talent you have! I really enjoyed watching you play the piano and listening to your song, I am sure your class mates will enjoy it too! Thank you so much for sharing, I know it takes a lot of practice to play the piano and your hard work has paid off, you have played a wonderful piece, well done! Miss Roe.
Thank you for sending in the lovely pictures that you made for your neighbours. It is brilliant to see the pictures in the Waitrose window, imagine how many people see them each day and how happy it makes them! Well done - it was a really kind idea!
I have found this book about Coronavirus and thought I would share the link with you, so you can listen to it if you would like too. It is an informative book which might be useful to you, as I am sure you have many questions about coronavirus! It is not to worry you, it is just in case you would like some more information and feeling a bit confused! I hope you are all keeping busy and staying safe, Miss Roe.
Angelo this is such a lovely video, thank you for singing 'love each other' for us and sharing it with us! You have a lovely voice and it is very uplifting to hear your song, thank you! Angelo has been making music videos on YouTube over the last week - what an excellent hobby! Well done!
Malakai with his new talents - cooking and playing the keyboard! Well done
Dear Miss Roe,
It's been a long time! Me and my mum have only discovered the lovely videos and messages from Sacred Heart (although my mum managed to find all of the worksheets!)
We hope you are doing well and keeping spirits up! I miss my class mates and hope they are having fun as well as doing their work. I am lucky as I do still speak to Shay and Santiago when we play Fortnite.
My time in quarantine hasn't been that bad because I have found some new talents (keyboard and science). I use my ipad to help me remember the notes to play in songs. With science I have learnt the different parts of the flowers such as the Stamen which is the male part of the flower that produces the pollen.
The worksheets have been challenging but I have been trying to do my best to get them done. My mum has also helped me to discover that I really enjoy doing crosswords and maths puzzles.
I am looking forward to seeing you and the rest of my class again soon. Here are a couple of pictures of me playing the keyboard and learning to cook noodles.
Thank you for the lovely message Malakai, don't worry about only finding the videos and messages now, although I am pleased you have found the worksheets! Maybe you could do just some of the worksheets this week, you don't need to complete them all, just try your best! Most importantly, keep practising your times tables, recap conjunctions, adverbs, etc, and enjoy some reading! I am pleased that you have found some new talents - they sound very fun, perhaps you can play a song on the keyboard for us when we are back at school!
This website has some fun science experiments and information on it:
I am also pleased that you are able to still speak to some of your friends.
It sounds like you have been keeping very busy, the crosswords, puzzles and noodles sound great!
Keep up all the great work :)
I am fine thank you, been busy baking for my neighbours, running, bike riding and working - so all good here, I look forward to seeing you all soon though!
Naomi has found out lots of facts about volcanoes and created an excellent picture! Well done Naomi for working so hard on your learning pack!
Here are two pictures of Daniel, one learning new card games, beat the clock, pyramid and rummy. The other picture is Daniel reading to his brothers. Well done Daniel, for learning the new games and reading to your brothers!
Hello Year 4,
Here are some links which I mentioned in my video, hopefully you find them helpful.
What belongs to you but others use it more than you do ?
What sits in the corner and travels around the world?
The more you take, the more you leave behind. What are they?
What is in front of you but cant be seen?
A man who was outside in the rain without an umbrella or hat didn’t get a single hair on his head wet. Why?
Hello everyone, Please find the video for this week, Have a lovely week, Miss Roe.
What an absolutely brilliant video from Maggie. I am so impressed with all the facts that you have learnt about volcanoes and for remembering all of the facts when you presented your video! It is lovely to see you too. Well done! :)
A lovely Captain Tom Moore poster from Sage and Maggie! Thank you girls! :)
I hope you are all ok,
Below you will find the video for this week, which talks about the learning pack, the quiz and a challenge for the week.
Here is the link for the Islington Library e-books:
We have received some lovely messages, videos and quiz answers:
Thank you Sage for your video, I enjoyed your 2.6 challenge, you managed to dribble the ball many times, well done!
Well done Zipporah and Ruby for your quiz answers, you are both correct!
Message from Zipporah:

It's me Zipporah and I'm sending this message to you because I would like to join the Quiz so I answered each question you said in the video. Pls stay safe bye.
Angelo has created a God’s eye, based on the school colours, it is very creative and neat, well done!
Finally, there is a picture of Ruby with her cat Milo – thank you so much for sharing this with us, what a lovely picture. I thought I would just share you a picture of my cat George, as they look so similar!
Please keep sending in your pictures, videos and messages.
Stay safe everyone and hopefully see you soon,
Video - Sage
I hope you are well and you are having a good week!
Here is another video for you, where I give you an update about what I have been doing, some information about learning packs and the quiz answers! The video also features our pet tortoise 'Terry', I promise he was very safe when I made the video!

Hi everyone, below you will find a message from Mauricio to the class, if you would like to please send in any messages, videos, photos or work to the school admin email: firstname.lastname@example.org, it would be lovely to hear from you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your message, it was nice to hear from you and to hear all the wonderful things you have been up to! The head stand challenge made me laugh, maybe a few of you could try it as well! The cookies look delicious too!
Here is Mauricio's message:
Hi Miss Roe,
Here are my answers for you quiz.
1) Captain Tom Moore 2) We clap to say thank you to the NHS and key workers 3) We should only go out once a day for essentials or exercise 4) We can donate money, stay inside and wash our hands 5) I think it’s when people run and then donate money to the NHS
I have been busy playing lots of board games while we have been off. I have been playing snakes and ladders and risk (which takes hours!!!) I have also been learning to play card games with my dad. I found a recipe on the internet for peanut butter cookies and mad them with my mum they were DELICIOUS! I have been keeping active by doing PE with Joe and going for a short walk around the Emirates stadium. I tried to do the handstand challenge can you ask the class if they can try to do it? That would be funny to see. I can’t wait to see you, Mrs smith and my friends. Thank you for your video.
Here is a picture of some of the cakes I have been making!
Hello Year 4,
I hope you had a lovely Easter,
I have uploaded a clip for you all to watch, please respond to the quiz and email any letters or pictures to the school admin address: email@example.com
Here are the links, that I have spoken about in the clip:
I hope all is well and you are adapting to life at home. I am finding it quite strange and I must admit I do miss the buzz of the classroom and seeing you all every day! However, I look forward to seeing you all soon and listening to your stories of what you have been doing since we have been away!
I hope you have been completing your learning packs and hopefully you are about to start the second week! Please remember to do a little bit every day, I think it's particularly important to keep practising your times tables as well as your spelling, punctuation and grammar. Here is a good website to practice S.P.A.G:
Perhaps you could create some posters with the S.P.A.G which you have learnt or create a diary, based on your time at home!
I have been trying to keep myself busy, by running, cycling (only once per day though!) and baking - I made a tasty lemon drizzle cake the other day too! I hope you have been doing some fun activities as well!
Take care of yourselves and your family,
I hope you are keeping well and safe at home.
Please spend the time when you are away from school completing your home learning packs, as suggested on the timetable. It is also a great time to spend quality time with family at home; perhaps you could read with a family member or create a picture for them.
It is also a good time to start a new hobby or to try an inside activity which you often do not have time for, for example:
Reading a new book.
Baking with your family.
Creating your own story.
Helping with the cooking.
A creative activity.
In addition, the following websites are great for extra learning:
Most importantly, stay safe, enjoy your time at home and be extra kind to those around you!
I look forward to seeing you again soon J
PS. An extra big thank you to all the NHS workers and delivery drivers!
Hello everyone and welcome to Year 4R’s class page.
The children have settled well and are ready to learn in Year 4!
We have many exciting activities happening this term in 4R, including Disney Workshops, which will take place on Mondays and Fridays throughout this term. We are very fortunate to be able to take part in this project, which should be beneficial and fun for the children. These workshops will be part of the children’s Creative Arts lessons.
PE lessons will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays, please ensure that your child has their PE kit at school for these days.
The title for this term’s topic lessons is ‘The World Through Different Eyes’ where the children will have the opportunity to look at artists such as Warhol and Kandinsky. They have already created some exceptional abstract art; we have some very talented artists in our class! In RE, the children will cover the following topics; ‘In the Beginning’, ‘Other Faiths’ and ‘Advent to Christmas’.
Our class assembly will take place on Tuesday 15th November; we hope that you can attend.
