PSHE

Personal, Social, Health and Economic education.

 

As a school we loosely follow the Islington 'You Me PSHE' scheme of work and tailor lessons to our children and the needs of our community using lessons from Ten Ten and Kapow scheme of work. Lessons are adapted to the needs and age of our pupils and are in line with the Teaching of The Church. PSHE is delivered to all year groups and lessons focus on:

  • Mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • Keeping safe and managing risk
  • Physical Health and wellbeing
  • Drug, alcohol and tobacco education
  • Identity, society and equality
  • Careers, financial capability and economic wellbeing
  • Relationship and Sex Education is taught in Year 2, 4, 5 and 6.

Zones of Regulation

This year we will be exploring the Zones of Regulation from Year 1-6 to explore our emotions and develop our emotional literacy. EYFS will explore naming emotions using the Colour Monster story and transition to Zones of Regulation. Parents can support their child's emotional literacy by becoming familiar with the Zones of Regulation. Please see the resources below for support.
