Welcome to Eco-Team's second official meeting. Last week we set out our objects for 2022 and today we made a start on our plans to make Sacred Heart an Eco School. We have begun our journey by designing poster to go up in classrooms to encourage everyone to recycle when and wherever they can.
Yesterday, Choir performed fantastically at the Place2Be Carol Concert. They were joined by Miss Palmer, Mrs Smith and Mr Lane. Click on this link to watch some of their performances: https://www.sacredheart.islington.sch.uk/place2be-december-2021/
This year we raised a total of £512.40 for the British Legion and their Poppy Appeal.
A big thank you to those who involved, it will make a huge difference to our local and wider community.
We also sent 101 shoe boxes off yesterday - again a great effort by our school community
This week, Cooking Club made a winter warmer - chocolate mug cakes. Cooking them in class, the smell of warm chocolate had us all excited and hungry. Have a look at our pictures and our decorated menu card from last week.
Our Year 6s had a fabulous time last night watching 'The Lion King'! I was great to see the live performance after our own version when we were in Year 4
Yesterday's cooking club had a Mexican theme. We prepared and cooked nachos, cutting up and arranging a range of ingredients. We have also decorated our menu cards from last week's 'Pizza Night'. Have a look at our pictures below.
Our second cooking club had an Italian theme today as we cooked a quick and easy 10 minute pizza. We all had great fun and the pizzas looked great. As our pizzas were cooking, we also decorated our recipe cards from last week. Our chef picked Eddie's recipe card to go on the website.
Yesterday afternoon was LKS2's first cooking club night. They had great fun cooking eggless biscuits that they took home at the end of the day. Have a look at what they have made.
A massive congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 girls. They showed community unity and the power of me in their football tournament today, winning all 4 matches and progressing to the finals on Friday. Well done.
